9 սխալներ, որոնք դուք թույլ եք տալիս ձեր տունը կահավորելիս

The ideal home design definitely has never existed throughout the centuries. Each interior differs in its own way and needs an individual approach to take. Beautiful interior design accomplishment depends on multiple factors, however, general rules emerge. Our interior designer has stockpiled a range of most common mistakes in the interior design we are now going to touch upon and discuss how to avoid or improve them.

1․ Avoid boring monotony

Sometimes people try to be careful with the color use, and as result, the interior becomes so monotone in brown, beige, gray, and white.

Don’t be afraid to add more accents, of course in moderation. We advise not to ignore the idea of painting walls in brighter hues which enables the creation of vibrant zones. However, if you’re really fond of monotony, we recommend adding contrasting accent elements or just use different shades of the same color palette.

2․ It looks phenomenal but isn’t convenient in use

On occasion, you want to use bold and original home designs, but you don’t view their practicality in daily life.

Before you make a purchase, you need to consider that sofa, dining table, or another furniture piece is serving you for a while and in this period of time your demands for an interior may change but furniture has to stay comfortable for any time.

We recommend sitting down on sofas, chairs, lie down on the beds in the showroom to ensure their comfort.

3․ Wrong design and visualization

A home design plan is one of the most common mistakes in the interior. Initially, this relates to a point that you try to accommodate rooms that don’t match the area. For instance, you try to enlarge your entryways, as you think the rest of the rooms need to be smaller. Afterward, you find out that entryways aren’t practical at all, you had better make your living room or bedroom loftier. It all depends on the proportions and scale of your room what furniture you can choose. Make sure that your room and all the details inside follow the rules of ergonomics to avoid discomfort.

How to keep away from these mistakes concerning the home design plan? You have to think out all the details you want to see in your interior in advance. The designer has to visit your house or apartment in advance so he can visually imagine your space and make reasonable decisions.

Just consult a designer before you start your home design.

4․ Bad lighting

Bad lighting is also one of the most common mistakes. It relates not only to the quantity of the lamps, floor lamps, and chandeliers but also their placement. You have to consider the practicality of your room. If you love to read or work from home, there you have to have a switch for lamps or floor lamps. Additionally, you have to get at least 3 sources for good lighting.

5․ A design element doesn’t go with the overall look

Details in interior design look astonishing, but may not match your space and create a dissonance with the rest of the furniture.

A little tip from us is to have a slight picture of what your space is going to look like in the aftermath before you visit a furniture store.

Our designer recommends to prevent variegation:

  • Select different ornaments in same color scheme,
  • Select the different color schemes in the same ornaments.

6. Avoid cluttering

It’s been a while since minimalism takes a solid position in interior design. Today minimalism means to include details in home design that are practical and keep you away from clutter. The furniture and home décor cluttering prevent you from freely moving around.

Coffee tables with lift tops and reclining furniture are the best to save space in the living room.

The use of irrelevant accessories is also a big thing. It might relate to wall arts, statues, sculptures, which really look marvelous and deserve attention but you have to observe whether the home décor you choose is really suitable for your interior.

7 Wrong paints on the walls

These mistakes are made, especially when you need to make slight changes in your space. After you finish the process, you find out the furniture doesn’t go with the overall color scheme.

We recommend consulting a designer or paint your walls by yourself only after you come up with the final decisions concerning the furniture and home décor. Walls and furniture have to elegantly complement each other so you avoid pressure in the living space. Our designer recommends that first things first, you select furniture and home décor, then go for wall colors.

8 Furniture along the walls

Furniture along the walls has long run out of fashion. This style perhaps looked fabulous and practical in the post-Soviet years, but nowadays designers suggest that you split up your space into different zones by sofas, dining tables, beds that help you to save the scale and proportion of your room.

9 Mess up with the diversity of styles

It’s easy-peezy to mess up with the big range of styles. You can adopt the eclectic style that’s a mix of all styles, anyways, you still need the designer’s help to make proper decisions concerning your home design plan.

If you still want to do your home design by yourself, we recommend that you study the features of these different styles and consider the scale and proportions of your room.
